Park grounds are open every day of the year from sunrise to sunset, and day-use areas close at dusk. The paid Commonwealth Place lot operates 6:00 a.m.-11:00 p.m.; the museum, Block House, fountain, concession and events keep separate schedules.

Riverview Park

City park areas generally follow posted park hours, with unlighted woods and trails best used in daylight. The Allegheny Observatory is open only for scheduled programming, Chapel Shelter is permit-controlled, and Riverview Pool keeps a separate seasonal schedule; verify the exact facility before leaving.

Schenley Park
