Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens

Use Phipps' GPS locator address, 700 Frank Curto Drive, for the Welcome Center. The conservatory sits beside Schenley Drive and Flagstaff Hill, not at the broad Schenley Park or Schenley Oval pin.

Phipps provides free visitor parking in the Schenley Drive center island, metered spaces on both sides, and accessible spaces near the entrance. Panther Hollow and Charles Anderson bridges are closed to vehicles, so follow the operator's current detours and allow extra time.

Open Monday-Thursday 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m., Friday 9:30 a.m.-10 p.m., and Saturday-Sunday 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Last entry is 30 minutes before closing; shows and visitor notices can close individual areas.

Visitor restrooms are inside the staffed conservatory. Phipps' sensory guide identifies restroom and quiet-space locations; do not rely on building facilities before admission or after closing.

Current general admission is $22.95 for adults, $20.95 for ages 62+, $19.95 for students 19+, and $13.95 for ages 2-18; members and children under 2 are free. Eligible EBT guests may receive Museums for All admission for up to four people at $3 each.

Most gardens are wheelchair accessible except the Stove Room. Manual wheelchairs and sensory bags are available free first-come at admissions, and accessible parking is near the entrance; stone and concrete paths can be uneven or slippery.

Pets are not allowed inside Phipps. ADA-defined service animals are permitted.

Allow roughly 90 minutes to two hours for a self-guided visit. Indoor and outdoor gardens work in mixed weather, but rooms vary in temperature and large bags, wagons and outside food are restricted.

Advance timed tickets are strongly recommended and required during Holiday Magic. Tickets are nonrefundable, re-entry is not permitted, and nearby bridge closures change the normal driving approach.

Frequent buses serve Oakland and Schenley Plaza; lower areas require a downhill walk and uphill return.
