Shofuso Japanese Cultural Center

Use the Shofuso pin inside the Centennial District near Lansdowne and Horticultural Drives. It is not the Horticulture Center entrance or the Please Touch Museum lot.

The operator lists free parking in the nearby lot. Capacity can tighten during Centennial District events, so reserve the timed visit before driving across the park.

Open Wednesday through Sunday, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Entry is by timed ticket and capacity is limited; Shofuso operates rain or shine.

Plan restroom use around the staffed visit and nearby Centennial District facilities. Confirm current access when reserving, especially for a mobility or family need.

Published admission is $15 for adults and $10 for seniors, children 5-17, college students and teachers. SNAP/EBT and ACCESS admission is $2 for the cardholder plus up to four family members; listed member, military and museum-worker categories are free.

The operator says the historic house is not wheelchair or scooter accessible and is not easily accessible for walkers, canes or prosthetics. Rubber-tipped or softly covered mobility devices are permitted inside; contact staff before booking.

Do not expect pets inside the house or garden. Confirm service-animal access and any accommodation directly before purchasing a timed ticket.

The garden can be memorable for children who can move carefully around water, plants and fragile interiors. Timed capacity, house rules and the major mobility limitation should shape the visit.

Reserve a timed ticket; capacity is limited and ordinary photoshoots are not permitted during open hours. The site is open rain or shine, but the historic house has significant mobility barriers.

SEPTA buses serve multiple park edges, and seasonal PHLASH routes connect several attractions. Select the stop nearest the destination because crossing the park from the wrong side can add steep grades and a long walk.
