Olmsted Overlook and Gazebo

Use the gazebo and Olmsted Overlook pin beside the lake system inside the park loop. It is separate from the boathouse, museum and Broad Street gateway, even though event directions may use those larger landmarks.

Choose a legal loop lot near the overlook and leave the event area clear for permitted setup. Stadium events, markets and construction can redirect traffic or impose a parking fee.

The outdoor landmark follows park and seasonal vehicle-gate access. Scheduled programs have their own times; Friends currently lists Not Just Jazz at the Gazebo/Olmsted Overlook on alternating Tuesdays from June through October, weather permitting.

There is no guaranteed restroom at the gazebo. Identify the permanent facility outside the Welcome Center or across from the skatepark before settling in for a program.

Ordinary overlook and gazebo access is free, and the listed Not Just Jazz series is free. Private reservations, vendors and other events may have separate requirements.

The overlook is reached from the park loop, but older paving, lawn, curb transitions, event furniture and wet conditions vary. Confirm the event's accessible approach before relying on a seat or drop-off location.

Leashed dogs may use the surrounding general park area unless an event posts a restriction. Keep pets away from performers, food trucks, crowded seating and the lake edge.

The gazebo is a useful family landmark and free-music setting, but it is not a playground or fenced space. Bring seating when advised and supervise children near roads and water.

This is an unstaffed outdoor landmark. Confirm the exact program date and weather status, bring a chair or blanket when appropriate and do not assume food, restrooms or shelter will be available.

NRG Station on SEPTA's Broad Street Line is just outside the northeast side, and Route 17 also serves Pattison Avenue. Stadium and major 2026 events can alter pedestrian routes, train service, traffic and rideshare zones.
