American Swedish Historical Museum

Navigate to 1900 Pattison Avenue, west of the main Broad Street park gateway. Use the museum entrance rather than a general FDR Park or picnic-grove pin.

The museum lists accessible parking along Pattison Avenue by its rear entrance. Construction for planned access improvements or a park event can alter the approach, so use current museum directions rather than an old event parking map.

Public hours are Tuesday-Sunday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.; the museum is normally closed Monday and on listed holidays. Special tours, events and 2026 centennial programming can override the weekly pattern.

Restrooms are available to museum visitors during staffed public hours. Do not depend on indoor access before opening, after closing or when the museum is closed for a holiday or private event.

Current general admission is $15 adults, $10 seniors, students and military, $5 ages 5-11, and free under age 5; ACCESS admission is $2 for adults and children over 5. The second Sunday of each month is listed as free, but verify current terms.

Accessible parking is along Pattison Avenue at the rear entrance; ring the doorbell for admittance. Caregivers accompanying visitors with special needs do not pay admission. Planned access construction may change the route.

ADA-defined service dogs are welcome. Emotional-support, comfort and therapy animals are not permitted inside.

The galleries and scheduled family programs offer an indoor complement to the park. Check the current exhibition and event calendar, admission and bag policy before arriving with a group.

The museum is not open on the park's full schedule. Large bags are prohibited in galleries, lockers are on the lower level, and there is no general food or beverage service onsite.

NRG Station on SEPTA's Broad Street Line is just outside the northeast side, and Route 17 also serves Pattison Avenue. Stadium and major 2026 events can alter pedestrian routes, train service, traffic and rideshare zones.
