FDR Park Skatepark

Navigate to the skatepark beneath I-95 on the park's eastern side. Do not follow the Anna C. Verna Playground pin; the skatepark has its own parking area and permanent restroom across the loop.

Use the legal lot beneath I-95 near the skatepark. The park identifies roughly 900 total spaces, but stadium events can impose fees or fill the nearest area and construction can alter circulation.

Use the skatepark within posted park access and seasonal vehicle-gate hours. Lighting, maintenance, events, flooding or work may shorten usable time; skating after dark should never be inferred from an open vehicle gate.

Friends of FDR Park identifies a permanent brick restroom across from the skatepark beneath I-95. Confirm that it is open before beginning a long session.

Ordinary public skatepark use is free. Lessons, events, vendors or organized programs may be separate.

The parking and spectator approach is developed, but the skate terrain itself is steep concrete designed for wheeled sport. Surface damage, debris, standing water and active riders create hazards independent of the access path.

Keep leashed dogs outside active skate lines and away from bowls and ramps. Noise, wheels and confined movement make the riding area a poor pet setting.

This is not a beginner playground. Helmets and appropriate protective equipment are strongly prudent, younger riders need close supervision, and spectators should remain clear of riding lines.

Inspect the concrete and traffic pattern before entering, yield to active riders and do not treat the shaded highway setting as protection from lightning, flooding or severe weather.

NRG Station on SEPTA's Broad Street Line is just outside the northeast side, and Route 17 also serves Pattison Avenue. Stadium and major 2026 events can alter pedestrian routes, train service, traffic and rideshare zones.
