Rothman Orthopaedics Ice Rink

The rink replaces the central fountain footprint on the west side of City Hall. Enter from 15th Street and follow the current winter layout for admission, rentals and the session queue.

There is no rink lot. SEPTA is the simplest arrival; otherwise use a paid Center City garage and allow extra time for holiday traffic, event closures and limited curb access.

The rink generally operates from mid-November through late February, but daily sessions, holiday hours and weather closures change by season. Use the current winter schedule before traveling.

Public bathrooms are inside City Hall and hours vary. Winter structures may offer changing or service space but should not be treated as a guaranteed public restroom.

Skating and rentals are ticketed separately from free park access. Do not rely on a prior season's prices, discounts or reservation rules; check the current winter program when it is published.

Barrier-free plaza paths reach the rink perimeter. Contact the current operator before booking for adaptive skating, transfer needs or a non-skating companion accommodation because session procedures can change.

Dogs may pass through permitted park areas on a six-foot leash but cannot enter the ice. Crowds, skate traffic and temporary winter structures make this a poor pet destination.

Choose a session suited to the skaters' ability, reserve if the current season requires it and arrive early enough for check-in and rentals. Gloves and weather layers matter even on mild days.

The rink does not operate year-round and can close for rain, warmth, ice maintenance or a private event. Confirm the same-day session before leaving and separate rink hours from the park's broader 6 a.m.-1 a.m. schedule.

The park sits above SEPTA's 15th Street and City Hall complex for Market-Frankford, Broad Street and trolley service, with concourse links toward Suburban Station. Use SEPTA's current concourse map and elevator status because the correct entrance and step-free path depend on the line and direction.
