Dilworth Park Fountain and Pulse

The fountain occupies the broad central plaza on City Hall's west side, between the 15th Street transit headhouses and the Greenfield Lawn. Use the exact fountain pin rather than the larger City Hall complex.

There is no dedicated park parking. Arrive by SEPTA or use a paid Center City garage; curb spaces are limited and loading, construction or events can change nearby access.

The fountain operates seasonally from April through October, weather permitting. It may pause for maintenance, events or unsafe conditions even while Dilworth Park remains open from 6 a.m. to 1 a.m.

Public bathrooms are inside City Hall and their hours vary. There is no restroom in the fountain plaza, so confirm City Hall access before changing clothes or planning a long family visit.

Fountain and Pulse viewing is free. Food, drinks, ticketed programs and winter attractions cost separately.

The plaza has barrier-free street-level paths and the fountain is a flush, zero-depth surface. Wet paving can be slippery, and not every transit line below City Hall is yet fully accessible; choose the exact SEPTA entrance for the line you need.

Dogs must remain on a leash no longer than six feet and stay out of the fountain. The adjacent Greenfield Lawn also excludes dogs.

This is an urban water-play space rather than a fenced splash pad. Bring a change of clothes, supervise around moving pedestrians and wet paving, and identify an open City Hall restroom before play begins.

Pulse mist and fountain jets are operational features, not guaranteed continuous performances. Check the operator's current park update and weather before making water play the purpose of a trip.

The park sits above SEPTA's 15th Street and City Hall complex for Market-Frankford, Broad Street and trolley service, with concourse links toward Suburban Station. Use SEPTA's current concourse map and elevator status because the correct entrance and step-free path depend on the line and direction.
