Everett Covered Bridge

Use 2370 Everett Road and follow the short trail from the information kiosk toward the red bridge. The bridge is about one-half mile west of Riverview Road and should not be confused with other Towpath bridges.

Park at the official Everett Covered Bridge trailhead, which accommodates cars and oversized vehicles. Oak Hill Road currently has a closure and detour near Furnace Run, so approach by the posted Everett Road and Riverview Road route.

The outdoor bridge follows general park access rather than a staffed building schedule. Weather, flooding, ice, repairs and the current Oak Hill Road detour can affect the approach.

The trailhead has accessible vault restrooms, an information kiosk and trash facilities. There is no separate staffed facility at the bridge.

The trailhead and bridge visit are free and require no entry reservation. Permitted ceremonies or organized events have separate rules and fees.

The National Park Service lists the trailhead and bridge experience as wheelchair accessible, with a firm, mostly flat unpaved route from parking. Weather can soften or ice the surface, so check conditions for a mobility-specific visit.

Leashed pets are allowed on park trails with a leash six feet or shorter. Keep pets out of Furnace Run, away from horses and under close control on the narrow bridge.

The short approach, red bridge and nearby creek make an approachable family history stop. Supervise children near water and trail traffic, and do not climb the bridge structure or creek banks.

The bridge is a short walk, not a drive-through attraction. Follow the exact trailhead pin, account for the Oak Hill Road detour and check flood, snow or ice conditions before treating the route as an easy stop.

The park is spread across a large valley. Seasonal railroad and limited regional options exist, but most visitors drive or bicycle between selected stops.
