Cuyahoga Valley National Park

The park is open every day; most outdoor areas are accessible 24 hours, but Brandywine Falls, Ledges, Octagon, Kendall Lake and several developed areas close at dusk. Buildings keep separate hours.

Parking is free but limited at popular sites. Start at Boston Mill Visitor Center; its closest spaces are limited-mobility parking, while general visitors use Boston Trailhead or Boston Mill lot.

Do not navigate to one park pin. Select Boston Mill, Brandywine Falls, Ledges, Beaver Marsh, Towpath or another trailhead before driving.

Restrooms are available at the visitor center and selected developed trailheads, but not continuously along trails. Seasonal and construction closures apply.

The national park charges no entrance fee and requires no entry reservation. Scenic railroad, rentals, programs and neighboring attractions may charge.

Accessible experiences include portions of the Towpath and Beaver Marsh, Canal Exploration Center, Everett Covered Bridge and Brandywine's upper boardwalk.

Leashed pets are allowed on many trails but not in buildings or on the scenic railroad; check route-specific restrictions and clean up waste.

Brandywine's upper boardwalk, Beaver Marsh, Boston Mill and short Towpath segments work well for families. Keep children away from cliff and waterfall edges.

The park is spread across a large valley. Seasonal railroad and limited regional options exist, but most visitors drive or bicycle between selected stops.

2026 Towpath repairs affect multiple segments, Ice Box Cave is closed for bat protection, and road or trail closures change frequently. Camping is prohibited inside the national park; check current conditions before departure.

Check current Cleveland-area weather and operator alerts. Lake Erie wind and waves, heat, snow, ice and storms can close water access, paths or facilities independently.
