Orianda Mansion

Use the Eagle Drive/Crimea Estate entrance identified on the official Friends map. Orianda and the nearby Magnolia Grove are west of Winans Meadow and are not served by the I-70 trailhead approach.

Follow current Eagle Drive signs and use only open legal spaces serving the Crimea Estate area. Do not block mansion, maintenance or event access, and do not assume the building has public drop-in parking.

The exterior landscape follows ordinary daylight park use unless an event, maintenance activity or posted closure controls the estate. The historic building does not publish regular drop-in interior hours on the park map.

There is no dependable public restroom at the Mansion. Plan around Carrie Murray Nature Center only when it is confirmed open, or use facilities before entering the park.

Viewing the Mansion exterior during ordinary park access is free. Private events, programs, rentals or interior access are separate and may not be available to casual visitors.

Eagle Drive provides a developed approach, while historic walks, grass, grades and building thresholds vary. Confirm event or interior access directly rather than inferring it from the outdoor route.

Leashed dogs may use ordinary outdoor park routes but should not enter the Mansion or a private event. Remove waste and keep pets away from planted areas.

The Mansion and Magnolia Grove make a compact outdoor history-and-landscape stop, but there is no guaranteed staffed interpretation, restroom or indoor shelter.

Treat Orianda as an exterior landmark unless an announced program specifically includes the building. Save the exact Eagle Drive route before entering the wooded park.

MTA buses reach several surrounding neighborhoods, while the Gwynns Falls Trail connects by bicycle and foot. Service does not eliminate long distances inside the park.
