Point of View Park

Use the exact Point of View pin at Grandview Avenue and Sweetbriar Street. The bronze figures face each other beside the westernmost scenic stop; this is not one of the named rail overlooks farther east near the inclines.

There is no documented dedicated park lot. Use only legal curb spaces along Grandview Avenue or nearby streets, read posted restrictions and keep driveways, intersections and bus movement clear. Do not treat a restaurant or residential space as park parking.

The outdoor parklet follows posted City park hours: 6:00 a.m. to sunset for unlighted areas and until 11:00 p.m. for lighted areas. The vista is exposed and the hillside path is best approached in daylight when conditions are wet, icy or unfamiliar.

The City does not list a public restroom at this small overlook. Plan a restroom stop before arrival rather than relying on a nearby private business or assuming another Grandview overlook has facilities.

Viewing the sculpture and open parklet is free. Coin-operated viewing equipment, transit, incline rides, parking or nearby private businesses have separate terms.

The sculpture is reached from the Grandview Avenue sidewalk, but curb conditions, slope and the lower gravel hillside path are separate access surfaces. Stay on the developed upper area when a firm, short approach is needed and assess the exact curb route before leaving.

Leashed dogs may use ordinary outdoor City park areas, but dogs are prohibited in playgrounds and courts. Keep pets away from the steep edge, sculpture and planted areas, and clean up in this residential setting.

This is a short scenic and public-art stop rather than a playground. Keep children close near the overlook edge and traffic, and use the sculpture inventory to explain the depicted 1770 meeting without climbing on the artwork.

Search and navigation results can mix this parklet with the Grandview Avenue rail overlooks. Look for the two seated bronze figures at Sweetbriar Street; for an incline arrival or the classic Downtown-facing overlooks, choose that separate destination before traveling.

Mount Washington buses and the inclines can reduce driving, but they do not deliver visitors to every park component. Check the final uphill or downhill walk to the exact overlook, neighborhood park or trailhead before selecting a stop.
