Christopher Columbus Memorial

Use the exact memorial pin inside the park near the Spruce Street arrival rather than searching along the full length of Christopher Columbus Boulevard. It stands within the seasonal park footprint.

The memorial has no separate parking or drop-off. Follow current Harbor Park arrival guidance and avoid CAP construction closures; transit, walking and biking are usually simpler.

View the outdoor memorial during published Harbor Park hours in season. Construction, events or maintenance can restrict its immediate surroundings even when the rest of the park remains open.

The seasonal park information-center restroom is the relevant public facility during operations. There is no restroom at the artwork itself.

Outdoor viewing is free. Parking, food, boats and other attractions are separate.

Developed park paths approach the memorial, but event furnishings, queues and temporary barriers can change the final circulation space. Follow the open paved route and do not cross construction fencing.

Leashed dogs may accompany visitors in ordinary open park areas, subject to posted restrictions. Keep pets away from the artwork and nearby crowds.

The memorial can be a short public-art stop rather than a child-focused attraction. Keep children off the structure and supervise around adjacent paths and the waterfront.

Walking and biking via the Delaware River Trail are the most construction-resistant approaches. SEPTA service reaches the central waterfront from Old City, but verify the current stop and walk because CAP construction can shift curb access and rideshare patterns.
