Spruce Street Harbor Park

For the 2026 season the park is open Sunday-Thursday 11 a.m.-10 p.m. and Friday-Saturday 11 a.m.-11 p.m., including holidays, with special holiday hours. Activities and bars close at least 30 minutes before the park; vendor schedules vary and weather can close the site.

On-site parking is limited by I-95 CAP construction. DRWC strongly recommends walking, biking on the Delaware River Trail, transit or rideshare; if driving, choose a current Penn's Landing garage or lot before leaving and expect event-day constraints.

Navigate to 301 S. Columbus Boulevard and use the Spruce Street waterfront entrance for the park core. Do not confuse it with RiverRink at 101 S. Columbus, Cherry Street Pier, or the construction zone for the future Park at Penn's Landing.

Seasonal public restrooms are available at the Spruce Street Harbor Park information center during operations. RiverRink has a separate seasonal facility and Cherry Street Pier has year-round restrooms only during its own hours; use the park facility before closing.

General admission, ordinary seating, hammocks and many public programs are free. Food, alcohol, Chiliboats, swan boats, reserved gatherings, parking and separately ticketed RiverRink activities cost extra.

DRWC identifies its parks as ADA-compliant. The developed promenade and primary park routes are accessible, while soft seating areas, hammocks, floating barges, boat transfers, crowds and temporary event layouts require destination-specific judgment.

Leashed dogs are welcome in the park, but they are not permitted in hammocks or on the barge. Other restricted areas may be posted; the new swan boats advertise dog-friendly rides, but boat-operator rules and capacity still apply.

Free hammocks, games, lights and recurring PopUpPlay sessions make this a strong family stop. The site also has alcohol service, amplified evening events, moving boats and an open water edge, so choose the time of day and supervise closely.

Walking and biking via the Delaware River Trail are the most construction-resistant approaches. SEPTA service reaches the central waterfront from Old City, but verify the current stop and walk because CAP construction can shift curb access and rideshare patterns.

The park is open during Park at Penn's Landing construction, but parking and event locations are constrained. Outside alcohol, glass, smoking, vaping and weapons are prohibited; event security screening may apply, and outside-food guidance is stricter at Harbor Park than at many other DRWC parks.

This is an outdoor riverfront site without heating or air conditioning. Check the park's weather notices before leaving; lightning, strong wind, extreme heat or rain can close hammocks, barges, boats, vendors and events before the published ground closing time.

Yes. Free-standing hammocks and other casual seating are first-come, first-served. A hammock holds up to two people or 250 pounds, and dogs are not permitted in hammocks; availability is never guaranteed during warm evenings or events.

At least one concession is open during park hours, but most vendors begin around 4 p.m. Published concession hours are Monday-Thursday 4-9:30 p.m., Friday 4-10:30 p.m., Saturday 11 a.m.-10:30 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m.-9:30 p.m.; individual vendors and menus vary.

The Lazy Hammock Bar and floating barge bars serve beer, wine and cocktails on separate schedules, generally beginning at 4 p.m. weekdays and noon weekends. Bars close at least 30 minutes before the park; the live hours page lists temporary closures and happy-hour details.

Yes. The 2026 season adds pedal-powered Chiliboats and new swan boats with seating for up to five, shaded canopies and selected glow-night rides. These are paid operator-run experiences with separate booking, weather, age, safety and dog rules.

The 2026 calendar includes recurring Friday Night Jazz, Family Fun Day, Latin Night, Tai Chi, Live & Local concerts, DJ nights and other programs. Dates run on different schedules through September; check the live event listing on the park page for the exact date, time, weather status and any security screening.

Yes. DRWC says waterfront attractions remain open during construction, but on-site parking is limited and some summer events are relocated. Approach from Spruce Street, follow current signs and do not use a former event location or closed CAP work area as an arrival pin.
