Duck Girl

Find the Children's Pool in the southwest interior, a short walk from the central plaza. It is separate from the large central reflecting pool.

There is no destination parking. Use transit or a paid garage, then approach through the nearest southwest entrance.

The artwork follows ordinary park access and the 10 p.m. curfew. Water operation and close access may stop for weather, maintenance or conservation.

There is no restroom at the Children's Pool. Use a confirmed-open nearby facility before arriving with young children.

Outdoor viewing is free.

Paved park paths lead near the pool, but historic edging, wet surfaces, crowds and temporary barriers can affect the final approach.

Keep leashed dogs out of the pool and away from the sculpture, children and planting beds.

The child-and-duck figure is a good family art stop, but the pool is ornamental and the bronze is not climbing equipment. Maintain hands-on supervision near water and streets.

Do not confuse the Children's Pool name with a public swimming or splash facility. View the artwork without entering the water or touching the bronze.

Center City transit is generally easier than driving. The square occupies the block between Walnut Street, Rittenhouse Street, 18th Street and 19th Street; route to the stop nearest the corner you intend to use rather than to a broad neighborhood pin.
