Franklin Square PATCO Station

Use the station headhouse beside Franklin Square and confirm the direction before passing the fare line. It is distinct from SEPTA's 5th and 8th Street stations.

The station is a transit arrival, not a park-and-ride. Use an origin station with appropriate parking or a paid Philadelphia garage if driving into Center City.

Train service follows PATCO's current timetable and service alerts, not park or attraction hours. Weeknight closures or maintenance can change service.

Do not depend on a public station restroom. The park's restrooms follow park operating hours and may be unavailable after closure.

PATCO fare is required. Park entry remains free during ordinary daytime access; attractions and events are separate.

The rebuilt station includes elevator access, but check live elevator and service status before a mobility-dependent trip.

Pets and service animals must follow PATCO's current rules; park permission does not automatically permit ordinary pets aboard trains.

The direct stop minimizes walking, but keep children close around fare gates, stairs, elevators and platforms and identify the correct direction before boarding.

A train may operate when the square is closed or ticketed. Check both PATCO service and Franklin Square access for the return trip.
