White Trail

Use the official color trail map and the geotagged rocky segment west of the Light Rail corridor. The photo pin identifies the terrain but does not replace following white blazes through every junction.

Choose the main Lakeside Drive lot or the Falls Road Light Rail lot based on the planned loop, then use the official map to connect to White Trail. Do not park on neighborhood shoulders or maintenance routes.

Hike during daylight and leave park property by sunset. Mud, ice, fallen trees, maintenance and lightning can make this short connector unsuitable even when paved routes remain open.

There are no restrooms on White Trail. Use the Nature Center during building hours or prepare before leaving the central park area.

The trail is free. Transit, programs and Paw Point membership are separate.

The published photograph shows a rocky natural surface. This is not the park's accessible route; use the Light Rail boardwalk and paved central paths for more predictable wheelchair or stroller travel.

Dogs must remain leashed. Rock, narrow footing and other trail users make a short lead safer, and waste must be carried out.

The short distance can fit a family hike, but the rocky surface is harder than its mileage suggests. Closed-toe shoes, close supervision and a dry-weather visit are sensible for younger children.

Bicycles are not permitted on White Trail. Trail lengths are approximate and do not account for elevation; download the map, follow blazes and turn back before sunset.

MTA Light RailLink stops at Falls Road, where a boardwalk leads directly into the park. This is one of the region's most practical transit-to-trail connections.
