Mr. Trash Wheel

Use the geotagged east-side promenade viewpoint near the Jones Falls outlet, between the central Inner Harbor and Harbor East. The machine remains in the water; this pin is a safe public viewing point, not an access gate.

Choose a paid Harbor East or Pier Six-area garage, then walk the promenade. Do not stop on service drives or block marina and maintenance access for a quick photograph.

The machine operates semi-autonomously and does not keep visitor hours. View it only when the surrounding public promenade is open and safe; storms, maintenance and harbor operations can affect visibility or access.

There is no restroom at the machine. Use an open waterfront attraction, garage, restaurant or public facility before reaching the viewpoint.

Viewing Mr. Trash Wheel from public promenade space is free. Parking, tours, events and nearby attractions are separate.

The public harbor-edge approach is paved, but detours, marina activity and temporary barriers can change the closest step-free viewpoint. Remain behind all railings and operational boundaries.

Leashed dogs may accompany visitors on ordinary promenade space. Keep them away from the water edge, machinery, wildlife and maintenance crews.

The wheel is a memorable free environmental-learning stop for children, especially when paired with a harbor walk. Explain that it is working infrastructure, not a ride or play structure.

Do not climb barriers, enter docks or approach the machinery. Water quality and current around the Jones Falls outlet are not suitable for casual contact or swimming.

Charm City Circulator, MTA bus and rail, bikeshare and the Water Taxi serve different waterfront sections. A one-way promenade walk can be paired with transit for the return.
