Broadway Pier

Walk south from Broadway Market through Broadway Square to Thames Street; the pier projects directly into the harbor. It is east of Bond Street Wharf and is not the Inner Harbor amphitheater.

Use metered street parking or a paid Fell's Point garage and read current restrictions. The City does not provide a dedicated free pier lot, and weekend or event demand can be intense.

The pier is public waterfront space, but permitted gatherings, concerts, docking activity, maintenance, ice and severe weather can change usable space or access. Check current event notices before making the pier the destination.

There is no guaranteed public restroom on the open pier. Plan around an open business, market or event facility in Fell's Point.

Walking onto the public pier is free. Parking, Water Taxi, food, rentals, permitted events and boating services are separate.

The pier deck is broad and developed, while surrounding Fell's Point streets include historic brick and uneven transitions. Use the Broadway/Thames approach and assess temporary event layouts on arrival.

Leashed dogs may use ordinary public pier space unless an event or posted rule says otherwise. Keep them away from dock operations and under close control at the unfenced water edge.

The harbor view and boats make this an easy short stop, but it is an exposed working pier rather than a playground. Hold young children close and bring sun or wind protection.

Fishing, boating and kayaking activity occur here, but swimming is not permitted. Give dock users room, never enter closed berths and check weather before walking onto the exposed pier.

Charm City Circulator, MTA bus and rail, bikeshare and the Water Taxi serve different waterfront sections. A one-way promenade walk can be paired with transit for the return.
