Enter through R Street and follow signs toward the Administration Building and National Bonsai & Penjing Museum area.

Free designated parking is distributed near major collections. Do not park on roads or lawns; weekends, azalea bloom, and events increase demand near the Columns and bonsai museum.

Outdoor access is free during Arboretum hours. Displays change seasonally; stay on paths and do not harvest or handle collection plants.

Use nearby Administration Building or museum-area restrooms during operating hours.

Admission and general parking are free. Programs, events, tours, and partner services may use reservations or separate fees.

Major buildings and collections have developed approaches, but the 451-acre landscape includes slopes, long distances, garden paths, and natural surfaces. Drive between distant collections when needed.

Leashed pets are permitted only under current Arboretum rules and may be restricted from buildings, collections, and events. Review posted pet guidance and protect research plantings.

The Columns, bonsai museum, lawns, and seasonal gardens work well for families. The grounds are too large to cover casually on foot, so choose two or three collections.
