Meadowside Nature Center Trails

Use 5100 Meadowside Lane for this trail network. Do not navigate to Lake Needwood when the Meadowside loops, Lake Frank, or outdoor exhibits are the destination.

Parking is distributed among Lake Needwood, Meadowside, picnic, golf, and trail access areas. Use 15700 Needwood Lake Circle for boating and 5100 Meadowside Lane for the Meadowside trail complex; events and good-weather weekends can fill the closest lots.

Outdoor park areas and trails are open daily from sunrise to sunset. The Nature Center building and restrooms remain closed during the current renovation.

The Nature Center building and restroom facilities are currently closed for renovation. Arrive prepared to complete the trail visit without indoor services.

General trail and outdoor self-guided access is free. Registered programs may have separate fees or capacity limits.

The trail system includes varied natural surfaces; use the official accessible and topographic maps to select a route and contact Program Access for a specific modification.

Leashed dogs are allowed only where current trail rules permit. Keep pets controlled around wildlife, ponds, streams, and program groups.

Short routes such as Rocky Ridge, Study Pond, and the self-guided Tree Trail can suit families, but there are no open restrooms and water edges require supervision.

Outdoor park areas and trails are open sunrise to sunset. The building remains closed, swimming, boating, and ice skating are prohibited at Study Pond, and trail length, terrain, heat, mud, and water conditions vary.
