Lake Needwood & Boat Rentals

Use 15700 Needwood Lake Circle and follow signs to the boathouse and lakeside parking. The pin is the mapped public boating destination at the official address.

Parking is distributed among Lake Needwood, Meadowside, picnic, golf, and trail access areas. Use 15700 Needwood Lake Circle for boating and 5100 Meadowside Lane for the Meadowside trail complex; events and good-weather weekends can fill the closest lots.

The official page currently posts weekend May-September rental hours of 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m., with last returns by 6 p.m., but its listed holiday dates are from a prior season. Confirm the current operating day before traveling.

Use boathouse-area facilities during posted operations; services are seasonal, so do not rely on the counter or restrooms outside the current operating period without confirming.

Current posted rates are $15 per hour for kayaks, canoes, and rowboats, $12 per half hour for pedal boats, and $55 for a full day except pedal boats. Needwood Queen tours are posted at $5 per person.

An ADA-compliant dock and launch system supports canoe and kayak entry, and the Needwood Queen accommodates wheelchair users. Contact the boathouse for a specific boarding need.

Dogs are welcome aboard Montgomery Parks rental boats, but must remain controlled and follow staff and park rules.

Rowboats and pedal boats can suit families, but every rider needs a life jacket, children cannot sit on an adult's lap in a kayak, and capacity and age rules apply.
