Maryland Zoo in Baltimore

Navigate to One Safari Place and the Maryland Zoo front gate, not the Druid Hill Park or Rawlings Conservatory pin. Use the zoo's current map after entering because exhibits and animal visibility can change during the day.

Use zoo-designated parking at the front-gate arrival. Free accessible spaces are to the left of the front gate on a first-come basis; event traffic elsewhere in Druid Hill Park can alter the approach.

The zoo publishes daily hours and alerts on its own site; the page checked August 10, 2026 showed 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Confirm the selected date because seasonal hours, events, weather, and animal operations can differ.

Accessible restrooms with baby-changing stations are distributed through the zoo. Family restrooms are documented near Whistle Stop Grille and inside the Penguin Education Center.

Zoo admission is ticketed and separate from free general park access. Use the official ticket page for current date-based admission, memberships, rentals, and paid experiences.

The zoo provides first-come accessible parking, accessible restrooms, ADA-compliant shuttles, and first-come wheelchair, ECV, and stroller rentals. Druid Hill topography and some animal areas create route or device limitations, so review the current accessibility page.

Pets are not permitted anywhere on zoo grounds, including parking lots. ADA-defined service animals are permitted under the zoo's service-animal rules.

The zoo is designed for family visits, but adults must supervise children, stay on marked paths, respect barriers, and accept that animals may choose off-exhibit areas.

This is an outdoor, ticketed visit: the zoo says rain checks and refunds are not issued. Check weather, daily alerts, tickets, and the day's schedule before crossing the park.

MTA bus routes serve different edges of Druid Hill Park, and the Jones Falls Trail reaches the park by bike and foot. The nearest stop may still be a long walk from the attraction you selected.
