Hains Point Playground & Picnic Grove

Follow Ohio Drive to Hains Point at the peninsula's southern tip and use the signed parking and picnic area rather than stopping on the loop road.

NPS lots A-C are along Ohio Drive and lot D serves the Buckeye Drive and tennis area. Metered parking is currently $2.30 per hour from 7 a.m.-8 p.m. daily except December 25, with pay-by-plate and posted three- or six-hour limits.

The playground and open picnic space are free. Reservable grove areas currently cost $90 for a half day or $180 for a full day, and the loop may close for flooding, weather, events, or safety.

A restroom serves the developed Hains Point area, but outages or seasonal maintenance can affect access.

General park, shoreline, playground, and loop access are free. Golf, miniature golf, tennis, reservations, parking, rentals, and concessions charge separately.

Hains Point includes paved approaches, designated accessible parking, picnic space, and generally level waterfront routes. Facility entrances, older recreation areas, temporary flooding, and long distances still require destination-specific planning.

Leashed pets are allowed in outdoor park areas under posted National Park Service rules. Keep pets off active golf and tennis areas, playground surfaces, and protected shoreline habitat, and remove waste.
