Holbert Trailhead

Holbert Trail is a difficult exposed climb to the ridgeline and Dobbins area and is restricted 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. during Extreme Heat Warnings.

Choose the main Central Avenue entrance, Pima Canyon, Mormon, Beverly Canyon, 19th Avenue, or another official trailhead. Lots and gates close before trails, so a late return can leave a vehicle locked in.

Holbert Trailhead keeps its own gate, staffing, seasonal, maintenance, program, heat-restriction, or weather schedule. Check the cited official source and current Phoenix trail or facility alerts before leaving.

Restrooms and water are concentrated at the visitor center and major trailheads; remote routes and ridgelines have none. Never assume a fountain is operational.
