Adventure Park at Virginia Aquarium

Aquarium lots charge $6 per vehicle from April 1 through October 31 and are free November through March; members park free year-round. Use the North Building lot for the main entrance and boat dock.

The Aquarium is open daily 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., except Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and inclement-weather closures. General-admission entry ends at 3:30 p.m.; member entry ends at 4:00 p.m. This feature may have shorter, seasonal or daylight-only hours.

Restrooms and family facilities are available inside the Aquarium. There is no re-entry after leaving, so complete restroom, food and stroller needs before exiting the ticketed area.

Current general admission is $35 for adults 18-69, $30 for seniors 70+, $30 for ages 5-17 and free for ages 0-4. Parking, boat trips, films, programs and the Adventure Park cost separately.

The Aquarium is ADA compliant, with accessible parking and manual wheelchairs available from Guest Services in exchange for photo identification. Strollers wider than 36 inches may not fit some doorways.

Pets are not permitted inside the Aquarium; trained service animals follow the Aquarium's accessibility policy. Do not leave animals in vehicles.

Most families should allow two to three hours, plus an additional hour for a program. Timed entry reduces crowding, but popular windows can sell out and there is no same-day re-entry.
