Mount Trashmore Skate Park

Free parking is distributed along Edwin Drive and around the main recreation areas. The South Boulevard lot is permanently closed during the Windsor Woods stormwater project, so navigate to the Edwin Drive entrance.

The park follows posted Virginia Beach city-park hours, generally sunrise to sunset. Lighted facilities, programs and special events may use different schedules. This feature may have shorter, seasonal or daylight-only hours.

Restrooms and seasonal concessions serve the central developed park. Confirm building availability for early-morning, late-day or event visits.

Ordinary park, hill, playground, skate park, paths and shore fishing access are free. Shelter reservations, programs, concessions and special events may charge.

Kids Cove uses a rubber surface and includes play components for varied abilities, including a wheelchair swing. Paved routes circle developed areas, while summit slopes are steep and exposed.

Leashed dogs are allowed under city park rules. Keep them away from playground surfacing, crowded events, waterfowl and anglers.

Kids Cove has separate play zones, slides, elevated walks, climbers and swings. The summit is popular for kite flying and views, but children need supervision on slopes and beside both lakes.

No swimming or wading is allowed in either lake. Fishing is from shore only with a Virginia freshwater license; kayaks are allowed only on Lake Windsor. Sledding is prohibited, and large events can close roads or consume parking.
