Pauley Center

Pauley Center is a staffed or separately operated facility associated with Virginia Museum of Fine Arts; building hours may be shorter than the surrounding grounds.

The onsite parking deck charges a daily fee and is free for VMFA members; free street parking may be available. Major exhibitions and evening programs fill both quickly.

Open 365 days a year, 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. daily and until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday-Friday. Restaurants, library, shop and programs use separate schedules. Pauley Center may use a shorter restaurant, shop, program, garden or event schedule; confirm the facility listing for a time-sensitive visit.

Restrooms, elevators and family facilities are available throughout the museum. Garden-only visitors should enter the building during open hours for dependable facilities.

General admission to the permanent collection is always free. Special exhibitions, parking, classes, tours and events may require tickets or fees.

The museum, garage and sculpture garden provide barrier-free routes, elevators and accessible services. Temporary gallery renovations can change the recommended path.

Pets are not permitted inside museum galleries; qualified service animals follow museum policy. Follow posted rules in the sculpture garden.

Free galleries, garden lawns and art-education programs make repeat family visits practical. Do not touch art, and verify age limits or registration for studios and ticketed exhibitions.
