Yes. Public restrooms are available near major destinations, including the playground and Scissortail Boathouse. The Boathouse also has a shaded patio and cafe; Lower Park facilities may follow sports or event operations.

The children's playground is open from dawn to dusk. It includes climbing walls, geometric dome climbers, children's gardens, a large fort with tower and slides, shade, nearby public restrooms, and adjacent interactive fountains.

The sprayground opened for the 2026 season on May 22 and is listed for daily operation from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Jets can shut down for wind, lightning within eight miles, weather, water-quality work, or maintenance; water shoes are recommended.

The park has a half-acre fenced dog park with separate areas for large and small dogs, drinking fountains, and boulders. Dogs must remain leashed everywhere outside the enclosure and are not permitted in the sprayground water.

The park provides accessible perimeter parking, restrooms, ground-level paths, ramps to the stage and boathouse, accessible playground and workout equipment, Braille entry and restroom signs, an accessible pedal boat, and Silver Flyer mobility tours.

General park entry, playground, sprayground, dog park, paths, gardens, lawns, and open recreation are free. Parking, boat rentals, food, reserved courts or fields, private events, and occasional ticketed programs charge separately.

Sprayground jets stop for high wind or lightning, boating is seasonal and weather dependent, the playground closes after dusk, and large events can change lawn, road, parking, or bag access. Follow current park notices before a feature-specific visit.

Useful shade is available at the playground and Play Pavilion, Boathouse patio, Picnic Grove trellises, Event Pavilion, Sports Pavilion patio, and wooded lakeside areas. The great lawns, lake bridge, sprayground, sports fields, courts, promenade, and much of the Lower Park remain exposed. These covered outdoor structures are not severe-weather shelters; when lightning, high wind, or dangerous heat develops, follow Park Ambassador directions and use a confirmed-open substantial building or enclosed vehicle.

Multiple paved walking and jogging paths connect the Upper and Lower Park, lake, gardens, playground, sprayground, lawns, sports areas, and Skydance Bridge. The park and visitor bureau describe ADA-accessible pathways and facilities, but lawns, native prairie plantings, play surfacing, bridge approaches, and event layouts differ from the primary hard-surface loops. Use the paved paths for a stroller or mobility device, and watch for fountain overspray, Oklahoma heat, ice, construction, and festival barriers.

Use an available table, lawn area, or the covered picnic area at the 6,400-square-foot Event Pavilion in the southeast Upper Park. Food is also sold at SPARK, the Perch, and scheduled food trucks. Personal grills are not allowed anywhere in Scissortail Park. The pavilion and major lawns may be programmed, private, or ticketed for events, so check the calendar and contact the events team before planning a group gathering that needs guaranteed space.

In the Upper Park, the main anchors are Scissortail Lake and Boathouse, the 240-foot Lake Bridge, Love's Travel Stops Stage and Great Lawn, playground and fountains, gardens, and Promenade. The Lake Bridge frames views of the Oklahoma City skyline, Skydance Bridge, and historic Union Station. Lower Park contains a separate sports and recreation district, so use the official map and route to the named feature rather than the general park address.
