Washington Park Dog Park

The fenced dog park is on the east side of Washington Park, next to the Sherwin-Williams Porch. The pin marks the reviewed center of the operator-identified enclosure, not the underground garage entrance.

The Washington Park Garage is beneath the park, with entrances on Race Street at 13th Street and on Elm Street across from Music Hall. Availability, valet-assist capacity and rates change during events; use an east-side park exit for the shortest dog-park approach.

The outdoor dog park follows Washington Park hours, 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. daily. Visitors 17 and younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian after 9:00 p.m.; events, maintenance and posted closures can supersede that schedule.

Washington Park lists public restroom buildings near Elm Street and Race Street. Do not assume indoor access from the garage or Porch outside their posted operating periods.

The operator lists no admission charge for ordinary use of the dog park. Garage parking, Porch purchases and ticketed or reserved events are separate.

The enclosure uses synthetic turf, pea gravel and paved approaches. Elevators connect the underground garage to park level, but the operator does not describe every part of the creek, boulder or gravel area as wheelchair accessible.

Dogs may be off leash only inside the enclosure and must be leashed while entering and exiting. Handlers must remain in view, keep control, carry a leash, remove waste and comply with license, vaccination and aggression rules.

Children under 13 may enter only with an adult. This is an active off-leash enclosure rather than a children's play area; use the separate fenced playground for child-focused recreation.

Entry is at the handler's risk. Remove a dog at the first sign of aggression, keep gates clear, and expect the play creek or water features to be affected by freezing weather or maintenance.

The Cincinnati streetcar stops at Washington Park, and Metro routes serve nearby Central Parkway and downtown.
