Chelsea Thicket

Chelsea Thicket is a densely planted, quieter passage that shows the High Line's rail landscape; the narrow route can become crowded and has limited shade seating.

There is no park parking. Nearby garages are expensive and street parking is scarce; subway, bus, walking, or biking to a chosen entrance is more reliable.

Summer hours are generally daily 7 AM-11 PM; closing times change seasonally and weather or maintenance can close sections.

Public restrooms are available near Gansevoort Street, West 16th Street, and West 30th Street. The long narrow route makes planning the next restroom important.

Entry is free. Food, shop purchases, and some partner experiences cost extra.

The park is wheelchair accessible through elevators and ramps, but individual elevators can be out of service. The route can be crowded and seating intervals vary.

Dogs and other pets are prohibited, except service animals.

Children often enjoy the train tracks, overlooks, art, and seating steps, but this is a linear promenade rather than a playground park. Hold hands near busy paths and exits.
