Hallett Nature Sanctuary
What people say
A restored four-acre woodland and rocky overlook above the Pond with winding paths, native habitat, and a quieter experience just inside the southeast corner. Use the Sixth Avenue or Grand Army Plaza side of Central Park South, then follow the Pond to the sanctuary entrance. The interior is not a through-route. Narrow rustic paths, stairs, rocks, mud, and periodic ecological closures make this unsuitable as a guaranteed wheelchair or stroller route. Dogs, bikes, food, and picking plants are not appropriate inside.
