Huron-Clinton Metroparks Water Garden

Use the exact Water Garden pin in the eastern half of Ralph Wilson Park. It is distinct from seasonal Water Wonderland in the Play Garden; the Water Garden is a quiet ecological landscape, not a splash pad.

Use signed West Jefferson or Rosa Parks street parking, or walk from paid Bagley Mobility Hub via Southwest Greenway. Continue through the park to the Water Garden rather than stopping at the first playground entrance.

The outdoor Water Garden follows the park's daily 6:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. hours. Programs, ice, storms, flooding or maintenance can restrict the dock, bridge or individual paths.

Ralph Wilson Park lists public restrooms, with additional facilities at Bagley Mobility Hub. The operator does not promise a restroom inside the Water Garden itself, so confirm the nearest open park facility.

The Water Garden and ordinary park access are free. Parking in garages, food and selected programs may cost separately.

The new Water Garden includes winding developed paths, seating, a dock and bridge, but exact grades and weather conditions vary. Use the paved park approach and contact the operator when a specific accommodation is essential.

Leashed, controlled pets are allowed in the park. Keep them on paths, out of the water and away from habitat plantings and environmental programs.

The dock, bridge, wetland plants and outdoor classroom can support a quiet family nature stop. This is not Water Wonderland, and fishing is prohibited in the Water Garden.

Do not confuse the Water Garden with the seasonal splash area. No fishing is allowed here; remain on paths and verify weather or maintenance status before relying on the dock or bridge.

DDOT routes 1, 27 and 29 serve the area. Southwest Greenway connects from Bagley Mobility Hub, and the Water Square People Mover station is about a half-mile east along the RiverWalk.
