Use the exact named artwork pin on Hart Plaza's north side near Jefferson Avenue. 'Michigan Labor Legacy Monument' is a description of this same installation, not a second destination.

Use a downtown garage or legal meter and check the Hart Plaza event schedule. Approach from Jefferson Avenue for the shortest ordinary route.

The outdoor artwork follows access to Hart Plaza, which the City lists as open year-round without publishing one dependable daily-hours window. Events, setup and maintenance can block the approach.

The City does not promise an always-open restroom at the artwork. Confirm event or nearby facility access before relying on one.

Viewing Transcending during ordinary plaza access is free. Events and parking may cost separately.

The artwork stands beside paved plaza routes near Jefferson Avenue, but grades, event fencing and temporary work can alter the final approach. Contact the City for a specific accommodation.

Follow current Hart Plaza rules and do not assume pets are admitted through a controlled event perimeter.

The large arc is visible from the north side of the plaza and can be paired with the fountain and riverfront, subject to event access.

Financial District is the closest People Mover station identified by the City for a 2026 Hart Plaza event. QLINE and DDOT also serve downtown, and the RiverWalk connects on foot.
