Mount Clare Museum House

Use the exact mansion pin within the eastern historic grounds of Carroll Park. It is not the B&O Railroad Museum's Mount Clare Station, the Carroll Park golf entrance or the recreation center.

Navigate to 1500 Washington Boulevard and follow current park and museum signs. Do not use golf-course spaces or internal service roads, and confirm any event or construction restrictions before arriving for a scheduled tour.

The official museum page currently lists regular opening times as coming soon. Group tours are available by special request, so arrange interior access in advance; otherwise treat this as an exterior historic-grounds stop during daylight park hours.

Do not count on museum restrooms without a confirmed tour or event. The nearest dependable facilities are tied to an open staffed park building, and their schedules can differ from the outdoor grounds.

Viewing the exterior from open Carroll Park grounds is free. The museum currently publishes suggested donations of $10 for adults, $6 for seniors and students, and $5 for children ages 2-12, but regular opening times are not yet posted and group pricing may differ.

The historic grounds and mansion contain older approaches and surfaces. Contact Mount Clare when arranging interior access to confirm the current step-free entrance, restroom access and accommodation for the planned tour or event.

Leashed dogs may use ordinary open park grounds under Baltimore City rules, but pets should not be expected inside the museum. Confirm service-animal and event rules directly when scheduling interior access.

The mansion exterior and interpretive landscape can support a short family history stop, but a full indoor visit requires confirmed access. Prepare children for honest interpretation of plantation labor and slavery rather than presenting the site only as a decorative historic house.

Do not confuse a visible exterior with an open museum. The official site says opening times are coming soon; request a group tour or wait for posted public hours before promising interior exhibits, staff, restrooms or admission availability.

MTA bus service runs along Washington Boulevard and nearby streets. Confirm the stop closest to the recreation center, Mount Clare or golf entrance because the park is much longer than a single transit stop.
