The North Rampart arch is the clearest general gateway from the French Quarter and streetcar corridor, but event screening may redirect entry.

Use paid French Quarter or Tremé street parking and garages, transit, biking, walking, or rideshare. There is no large free visitor lot dedicated to the park.

Open daily 8:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. in winter and 8:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. during daylight saving time; events may change gates and access.

Do not rely on always-open public restrooms inside the landscape. Event venues and nearby visitor businesses provide facilities only during their operating hours.

Ordinary park and Congo Square access are free. Performances, parking, permits, tours, food, and special events may charge.

Major paths and entrances are paved, but bridges, older surfaces, temporary event barriers, and closed buildings can affect routes.

Leashed dogs may use ordinary outdoor areas under city rules; events, theaters, cultural programs, and posted areas may restrict pets.

The open landscape, bridges, sculpture, music history, and Congo Square can support a short family visit, but there is no playground and water edges need supervision.
