Garfield Park

The outdoor park follows Indy Parks' general dawn-to-dusk schedule. The Conservatory and Sunken Garden are closed Monday, open Tuesday-Saturday 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. and Sunday 1:00-5:00 p.m.; the Arts Center is closed Sunday and Monday and open Tuesday-Saturday 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. by appointment. Other buildings and seasonal facilities keep separate hours.

Use 2345 Pagoda Drive for the general park. Destination addresses are more useful for the Conservatory and Sunken Garden at 2505 Conservatory Drive and the Arts Center at 2432 Conservatory Drive; parking and approach vary by facility.

Choose the destination before driving. Conservatory Drive serves the three evidence-cleared destinations, while the Pagoda, aquatic center, amphitheater and family center occupy other parts of the park and are not interchangeable arrival pins.

Restroom access is most reliable inside staffed facilities during their posted hours. Do not assume an indoor restroom will be open when only the outdoor park is open; seasonal and event facilities can operate independently.

The Sunken Garden has no admission fee. Conservatory admission is $4 per person; the operator does not post a general park entrance fee. Classes, events, rentals and seasonal facilities may charge separately.

The Conservatory, Sunken Garden and Arts Center have developed approaches, but routes, doors, grades and older outdoor facilities vary. Contact the specific facility before relying on a particular accommodation.

Indy Parks requires dogs to remain on a leash shorter than 20 feet outside designated dog parks. Indoor facilities and planted garden areas may post tighter restrictions, so follow destination signs and keep pets away from displays.

The Conservatory, garden, arts programming, playground and seasonal aquatic center serve different ages and schedules. Confirm the exact facility's hours, admission and event requirements before bringing a group.

The Sunken Garden fountains reopened in June 2026, and a new playground near the Pagoda is scheduled for completion in fall 2026. Treat construction limits and facility schedules as separate from general park access, and check current notices before visiting.
