The monumental main gateway is the clearest first-time arrival and orientation point, but the reservoir overlook and playground still require a substantial walk.

Use the free public lots at the Johnson Road or Grove Park entrances. Lots can fill for sunsets, weekends, and events, and the playground is a walk from parking.

General city park hours are 6:00 a.m.-11:00 p.m.; gates, parking lots, reservoir overlooks, and reserved areas may close earlier or for operations.
