Reservoir loop trail

The paved reservoir loop provides long exposed walking and cycling segments with significant distances and grades.

Use the free public lots at the Johnson Road or Grove Park entrances. Lots can fill for sunsets, weekends, and events, and the playground is a walk from parking.

General city park hours are 6:00 a.m.-11:00 p.m.; gates, parking lots, reservoir overlooks, and reserved areas may close earlier or for operations.

Public restrooms may be limited or tied to park facilities and events; plan conservatively and verify onsite signs before walking deep into the park.

General park, overlooks, playground, lawns, and trails are free. Events, reservations, food, and special programs may charge.

Wide paved paths serve major areas, but the park is very large and includes long grades. Visitors with limited stamina should route to the closest entrance and expect distance between parking, playground, and overlooks.

Leashed dogs are allowed under city park rules; keep pets out of playgrounds and restricted reservoir infrastructure.
