Waterfront Park

Waterfront Park is open daily 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Aquarium, vendors, ferries, elevators, restrooms, play areas, and events use separate schedules.

Paid street spaces and garages line downtown and Alaskan Way, but construction, cruise traffic, games, and events create delays. Transit and walking are usually easier.

Use Overlook Walk from Pike Place for the elevated connection, Pier 58 for the jellyfish play structure, or Pier 62 for flexible events and floating dock.

The rebuilt park includes a public restroom, with additional facilities at Pier 62 and partner attractions during their hours. Identify the nearest open one along the long waterfront.

Promenade, Overlook Walk, public play spaces, piers, art, and many programs are free. Aquarium, food, parking, ferries, and attractions charge.

Wide promenades, elevators, Overlook Walk, and developed pier surfaces support accessible circulation, though outages and event layouts can alter routes.

Leashed pets are allowed under posted rules; keep them controlled around play spaces, food, crowds, habitat, docks, and water edges.

Pier 58's large play structure, Overlook Walk, Habitat Beach, aquarium surroundings, free games, and ferry views create a strong downtown family destination.

Light rail, buses, ferries, water taxi, seasonal Waterfront Shuttle, and walking from Pike Place all serve different sections.

The waterfront is long and busy. Choose a meeting point, watch children near piers and traffic crossings, and check elevator, event, ferry, weather, and cruise conditions.

Check Seattle's neighborhood forecast, rain, wind, heat, wildfire smoke, daylight, and water quality or tides where relevant. Shoreline and hilltop conditions can differ from downtown.
