Use a downtown Norfolk city garage such as Town Point or Main Street and walk to the riverfront. Event days use special rates and nearby spaces fill early; cruise calls can also change curb and accessible parking.

The public waterfront is generally available daily outside posted closures. Festivals, fountain operation, cruise-ship security and private permits can change access and hours independently. This feature may have shorter, seasonal or daylight-only hours.

Portable restrooms, including accessible units, are installed for major events. On ordinary days, use open nearby visitor destinations rather than assuming permanent park restrooms are available.

Ordinary park, promenade, fountain and river-view access is free. Some concerts, food festivals, parking, cruises and adjacent attractions require tickets or purchases.

Town Point Park and TowneBank Fountain Park are accessible, with paved waterfront approaches and accessible spaces in city garages. Festival layouts can reroute paths and seating.

Animals other than service animals are generally not permitted during Festevents programs unless specifically posted. Check event rules before bringing a dog to the waterfront.

The open lawn, ships, fountain and river activity make an easy family stop, but supervise children closely at the unfenced working-harbor edge and during dense festivals.
