Nauticus and Battleship Wisconsin

Nauticus is open Tuesday-Sunday 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. and closed Monday. Holiday, maintenance, weather and special-event schedules can vary.

Use the adjacent Town Point Garage or another downtown city garage. Five onsite accessible spaces are first-come and are unavailable on cruise-ship days.

Enter Nauticus at 1 Waterside Drive for ticketing before boarding Wisconsin. Victory Rover cruises depart nearby but require their own time and ticket; arrive early enough to park and walk from the garage.

Restrooms and elevators are available inside Nauticus. Shipboard facilities and circulation are limited, so use the museum facilities before climbing into less accessible sections.

General admission is currently $19.95 for ages 13+, $16 for ages 3-12 and free for ages 0-2 with a reserved ticket. Guided ship tours and Victory Rover cruises cost extra; the Hampton Roads Naval Museum is free.

Nauticus and Wisconsin's main deck are wheelchair accessible. Most interior ship routes involve steep ladders, narrow passages and high thresholds; the Ship Experience Access Room provides a virtual alternative.

Pets are not permitted inside Nauticus or aboard the ship; trained service animals follow accessibility and safety procedures. Confirm accommodations before arrival because ship spaces are unusual.

Hands-on maritime exhibits and the battleship work well for school-age children. Toddlers need close supervision, and adults should assess whether steep ladders and confined spaces are appropriate.

The Tide light rail, buses, ferry, downtown sidewalks and Elizabeth River Trail reach the waterfront. The MacArthur Square light-rail area is a practical downtown approach.

The general ticket includes Nauticus and standard Battleship Wisconsin access, but specialized tours add fees. Wear secure shoes, keep both hands available on ladders and use the accessible main deck or virtual access room if climbing is unsafe.
