Sugar House Park

Open daily 7:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. May-October and 7:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m. November-April.

The internal road runs one-way counter-clockwise. Use the lot nearest the intended pavilion or playground and keep the inside curb clear for walkers, runners and cyclists.

Use 1330 East 2100 South for a general arrival, then follow the park map. Named pavilions are the easiest meeting points for the pond, playgrounds, courts and fields.

Fabian Lakeside restroom is open year-round. Parley's Creek and Hidden Grove restroom buildings close in winter.

General park, paths, playgrounds, fields and pond overlooks are free. Pavilion and field reservations, permits and special events may charge.

The paved inner lane loops 1.38 miles with about 92 feet of elevation gain. Developed pavilions, playgrounds and lots have firm approaches, while grass slopes and snow vary.

Dogs must remain leashed and controlled everywhere in Sugar House Park; there is no off-leash area.

Parley's Creek and Sugar Beet playgrounds serve different sides of the park. The pond and creek are not swimming or splash areas, and water entry is prohibited.

UTA Route 21 serves 2100 South by the park; Route 220 may suit other approaches. Use live trip planning for the exact pavilion or entrance.

Big Field remains open and continues to host permitted events. The separate Backstop Field is closed for softball construction through 2026; Hidden Grove and Mt. Olympus pavilions are not accepting 2026 reservations, and fireworks are prohibited year-round.

Check current Wasatch Front weather, air quality, road status and operator alerts. Heat, cold, snow, avalanche control, lightning, flash flooding, high wind, wildfire smoke and fire restrictions can independently close roads, trails or facilities.
