Land Bridge and Prairie

The Land Bridge and Prairie reconnect the park across Memorial Drive with broad accessible paths, native grassland, overlooks, and exposed sections affected by heat and storms.

About half of park parking is free. Designated paid lots use City meters at $2 per three-hour increment from 5:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m.; choose a lot near the exact destination.

Open daily 5:00 a.m.-11:00 p.m.; natural areas, staffed buildings, lots, pool, golf, tennis, and sports facilities use separate schedules.

Restrooms are available at the Cullen Running Trails Center, Eastern Glades, along the Seymour Lieberman loop, and near selected recreation facilities; hours vary by location.

General park, trails, prairie, playground, and landscape access are free. Metered parking, golf, tennis, pool, reservations, showers, food, and programs may cost separately.

The Seymour Lieberman Trail and Eastern Glades are wheelchair accessible; rugged Bayou Wilds and natural trails vary in surface, grade, roots, mud, and drainage.

Dogs must remain leashed and are prohibited on the Roy H. Cullen Timing Track; natural trails and prairie are not off-leash areas.

Vale-Asche Playground, Eastern Glades, picnic areas, the loop, and seasonal pool serve families, but destinations are widely separated across 1,500 acres.

The western Outer Loop Trail remains closed for Memorial Groves construction into 2027. Check live trail and event status, bring water, and do not enter bayous or Hines Lake.

METRO Route 20 serves Memorial Drive stops inside the park and Route 84 stops near West Loop North and Woodway; plan for the exact destination.
