Outdoor areas and staffed facilities use posted schedules; pool, spraygrounds, recreation center, gym, cultural center, and programs may open or close independently.

Free parallel parking is available on Emancipation Avenue and Hutchins Street, head-in spaces line Tuam Street, and a 55-space lot with ADA and EV spaces sits across from the baseball field.

Use Emancipation Avenue for the pool and central frontage or Tuam Street for the baseball field, main lot, recreation facilities, and easier event orientation.

Restrooms are associated with the aquatics, recreation, cultural, and event facilities and follow staffed hours; verify before depending on a building during early or late outdoor use.

Outdoor park access, playground, spraygrounds, courts, and many community programs are free. Pool registration, rentals, classes, and special events may use separate rules or fees.

ADA parking is available in front of the pool and in the Tuam Street lot; paved routes connect the renovated central facilities and outdoor areas.

Leashed pets may use general outdoor areas under park rules but are excluded from pool, sprayground, playground, courts, fields, and indoor facilities except service animals.

The playground, outdoor spraygrounds, pool, gym, pavilions, fields, and cultural programming make this a major family and community destination.

METRORail's Ensemble/HCC station and local bus routes provide access, with a walk into Third Ward; verify the best route for events.

Construction associated with the cultural expansion may temporarily affect the Cultural Center and adjacent lawn while most playground, sprayground, and sports areas remain available; check current notices.

Check Houston's hourly heat index, lightning, heavy-rain and flood alerts, air quality, and current facility notices. Outdoor surfaces and play equipment can become dangerously hot, and open pavilions are not safe lightning shelters.
