Fair Park

Grounds are generally open 6:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. through Gates 5 or 6; museums, attractions, events, and buildings keep separate schedules.

Use Gates 5 and 6 on Robert B. Cullum Boulevard for ordinary daily entry. Daily parking is normally free, but event parking, gates, prices, security, and traffic plans vary.

Choose the exact museum, venue, fountain, stadium, or lagoon before navigating. Fair Park is a large event campus, not a single compact park entrance.

Public restrooms are closed during regular non-event park hours. Event restrooms open according to the organizer, so plan accordingly for a casual architecture visit.

Walking the grounds and ordinary daily parking are generally free; museums, aquarium, gardens, performances, stadium events, State Fair admission, and event parking may charge.

Accessible parking is available and attendants can direct visitors; distances are substantial and event barriers, security, historic thresholds, and venue rules vary.

Leashed pets are allowed during ordinary Fair Park use, but event and venue policies may prohibit them. Service-animal rules apply separately.

Fountains, architecture, lagoon, aquarium, museums, gardens, and events appeal to families, but everyday restroom closure and long distances need planning.

DART Green Line stations at Fair Park and MLK Jr. provide direct access; event-day transit often avoids traffic and parking changes.

Check the event calendar before every visit. State Fair and other events can replace ordinary free access with tickets, bag rules, prohibited items, security checks, paid parking, and different gates.

Check Dallas's hourly heat index, lightning, severe-storm and heavy-rain alerts, flash-flood risk, air quality, and current facility notices. Pavement, play equipment, rock, and exposed trails become dangerously hot, while low trails and creeks may flood quickly.
