Waterloo Park

The park is generally open daily during posted hours; Moody Amphitheater events and production closures use separate schedules and entry rules.

Use downtown garages, metered parking, transit, biking, or walking. The nearby Capitol Complex garage may offer limited public parking; event rates and street restrictions can change.

Use 500 East 12th Street for the park. Concert guests should follow the specific Moody Amphitheater ticket and gate instructions rather than ordinary park navigation.

Public restrooms and water fountains are available in Waterloo Park; access can change during events or maintenance.

Day-to-day park access is free. Ticketed concerts, premium areas, concessions, and special programs may cost extra.

ADA-accessible paths connect gardens, lawns, play space, restrooms, and amphitheater areas. Event layouts may change routes and seating access.

Leashed dogs are allowed during ordinary park use; event policies may prohibit pets. Keep dogs out of planted beds and remove waste.

The playground, creek overlooks, lawns, gardens, and short downtown paths work well for families outside concert crowd periods.

Downtown bus routes, nearby Red Line access, bikeways, and walking connections make transit preferable to event parking.

Check the park event calendar before visiting. Concert setup can close lawns or paths, and summer heat is strongest on exposed slopes despite substantial garden shade.

Check Austin's hourly heat index, lightning and heavy-rain alerts, flash-flood risk, air quality, and current facility notices. Limestone, pavement, play equipment, and exposed trails become dangerously hot, while creeks can rise quickly after upstream rain.
