General park and Alliance Children's Garden hours are 5:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. unless posted otherwise; splash-pad and event operations are seasonal or separate.

The Palmer Events Center garage is the most direct paid option. Nearby event schedules can affect rates, availability, and road access; trail and transit arrival may be easier.

Use 1000 Barton Springs Road for Alliance Children's Garden. Doug Sahm Hill, the pond, and trail connections are spread across the park, so select the exact feature when navigating.

Public restrooms are available near the children's garden and event-center side, subject to posted hours and maintenance.

General park and children's garden access are free. Garage parking and ticketed Palmer Events Center activities cost separately; city splash pads do not charge admission when operating.

Alliance Children's Garden was designed for varied ages and abilities, with paved routes and multigenerational play. The observation hill has a significant grade.

Pets are not permitted inside Alliance Children's Garden. Leashed dogs may use ordinary park paths and lawns where posted rules allow.

Alliance Children's Garden is the main family draw, with themed play zones, climbing, slides, nature-inspired play, and nearby seasonal water play. Check surfaces for dangerous heat.

CapMetro routes serve Barton Springs Road and downtown; the Butler Trail and Pfluger Bridge provide strong walking and biking connections.

The Liz Carpenter Splash Pad is seasonal and may close for repairs; verify the live city aquatics status before promising children water play. Palmer events can change parking and crowd levels.

Check Austin's hourly heat index, lightning and heavy-rain alerts, flash-flood risk, air quality, and current facility notices. Limestone, pavement, play equipment, and exposed trails become dangerously hot, while creeks can rise quickly after upstream rain.
