Shelby Bottoms and Shelby Park

Shelby Bottoms Greenway is open dawn to dusk daily; Shelby Park is open dawn to 11:00 p.m. The Nature Center has shorter weekday and Saturday hours and is closed Sunday and Monday.

Use 1900 Davidson Street for the Nature Center and main greenway trailhead. Park nearer Sevier Lake, playground, community center, golf, Cornelia Fort, or the pedestrian bridge for those distinct destinations.

Start at the Nature Center for maps, exhibits, nature play, and the main greenway. Shelby Park recreation and Cornelia Fort Airpark are separate arrival zones across a very large combined property.

The Nature Center is the most dependable greenway restroom during its posted hours. Shelby Park facilities serve developed recreation areas, but do not expect restrooms along every trail segment.

Nature Center admission, greenway, nature play, and ordinary park access are free. Golf, rentals, permits, community-center activities, shelters, and selected programs cost separately.

More than five miles of paved greenway provide accessible travel, while primitive paths, wetlands, boardwalks, flood debris, and natural surfaces vary.

Pets are allowed on a leash six feet or shorter. Bikes belong on paved trails only, and collecting natural or historic material requires authorization.

Nature Play, the Nature Center, paved biking, playgrounds, lake views, Cornelia Fort's broad pavement, and picnics offer varied family choices; waterways are not supervised swimming areas.

WeGo routes serve the East Nashville area, but the correct stop depends on the Nature Center, Shelby Park recreation, or Cornelia Fort destination. Verify the final walking route.
