Roger Williams Park has two public playground destinations. Hasbro Boundless Playground is fully enclosed at Carousel Village and includes a toddler area, swings, slides, drums, sensory-rich panels, climbing structures, and routes designed so children with physical disabilities can use at least 70% of activities without leaving support equipment. Bear Playground on Maple Avenue has a climbable bear, graduated challenges, an accessible transfer platform and ramp, slide, rope play, mature-tree shade, and picnic space. Carousel Village facilities and restrooms follow their own operating hours.

Bear Playground includes a shaded picnic area, and the Carousel Village and Dalrymple Boathouse lawns are practical blanket-picnic locations with limited picnic tables nearby. Another picnic area sits near the Park Avenue entrance by Cunliff Lake. Tables are not guaranteed, especially during Food Truck Friday and concerts, so bring a blanket or chairs and check the event calendar before choosing a busy lawn.

Roger Williams Park does not list a public splash pad, swimming pool, or designated swim beach among its current attractions. The park's lakes support scenery, wildlife, fishing, and separately operated swan-boat use rather than swimming or wading.
